A tool box for community

At Suber Road Baptist Church we seek to expand God’s kingdom as we worship him, build up one another, and advance the gospel in our community and around the world.

At the center of this focus is the Word of God.

Let’s strive together to glorify God by developing Word-centered followers of Jesus Christ. This portal is a toolbox for helping build this community.

Getting Started!

This page exists to help members of Suber Road Baptist Church connect with one another for member-on-member ministry. Here you can connect with another believer for one-to-one relationships as well as join with a number of believers in a small group study.

One-to-One Bible Reading

Joining in on our Word-centered culture is as easy as making a choice. There are many opportunities to connect as individuals and in small groups. We’re excited to see you interested in coming onboard. Let’s start!

Step 1: Find a friend

Walking the path of Word-centered discipleship starts by connecting with fellow like-minded believers.

  • Just ask!
That’s right, just walk up to someone in your life group, community group, or in the church lobby. Ask them to join you in reading the Bible.
  • We’re here to help
Check out our church directory for a listing of members and how to contact them. You can also contact us and we’ll be happy to introduce you.

Step 2: Choose a tool

You’ve found a fellow church member with which to start this relationship. Now what? The Bible will always be your primary tool, but consider these suggestions to help get you started. Also check out the Recommended Resources.

Start out reading this book together and let it guide you into a method of Bible reading you can share. It also provides handy question guides for the various genres of biblical literature.

Similar to One to One Bible Reading, this book guides you through principles of Bible reading and shows you how to apply them together as you read through a book of the Bible.

Personal and Small Group Study

At Suber Road, we believe in member-on-member ministry. We know that much of our church growth takes place in members meeting with members one-on-one and in small informal groups. Learn more about what groups are available or start your own!

Member with Member

There are a number of members who are willing to meet one-to-one. Reach out to us and express your interest in a 1to1 Bible reading relationship. We will work to connect you with someone to who shares your desire to meet around the Word.

Small Groups

You may not know it, but there are small group Bible studies going on all around you. Some groups are ready to have you join them now, while others can make room for you in their next session. We are happy to connect you with a group leader.

Daily Increase Journal

Daily Increase Journal

Another opportunity for member-on-member ministry is the Daily Increase Journal. This journal is designed to help you in your discipline of listening to God’s word and praying daily. It also gives our members a common language with which to discuss what God is teaching them.

Learn more about this tool by downloading the Daily Increase Journal guide and sample journal pages. A hard copy of the journal with pages for 90 days is also available at cost from the church office.

An important part of the Daily Increase Journal is the sharing within the community. We have created channels at SRBCLife.slack.com for women and men to connect and discuss. To participate in these channels, contact the church office.

Study Courses

Bible study is not limited to those preaching from the pulpit, and the tools they use are also available to anyone wishing to invest in the study of God’s Word. All of these opportunities will require an investment of your time, and some of your money. However, you will find the investment well worth it!
